A Telehealth Summit will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010. This event will be Day 3 of the Virginia Rural Health Summit and is jointly sponsored by the VDH Office of Minority Health and Public Policy and the Virginia Telehealth Network. We are hoping to have a majority of Virginia's telehealth players convene to form a truly comprehensive state initiative.
Plenary sessions will provide an overview of telehealth, demonstrations of model telehealth programs and a review of what is currently happening with telehealth in Virginia. Breakout sessions will include sessions on specific chronic diseases, sessions on reimbursement and coding, and sessions on specialty care. Vendor exhibits will
demonstrate a range of the latest in telehealth—from robots, videoconferencing systems, electronic health records, home health monitoring to teledentistry.
Who Should Attend:
We invite representatives from hospitals, health systems, health clinics, home health agencies, long-term care
facilities, health professions school, health related associations, policymakers and those in the information technology field to attend.
Cost: $25 (a limited number of scholarships are available).
Thank you for your interest. June Collmer, Interim Executive Director, Virginia Telehealth Network. (VTN e-mail contact: jecollmer@ehealthvirginia.org)
